Reference project
Within our various business areas, we have carried out several successful projects. We present a selection of projects showing a combination of technical expertise, sustainability focus and customized solutions to create future-proof properties and long-lasting energy systems.
Battery parks that support the electricity system
The Soltech company, Soltech Energy Solutions, is a leading player in large-scale energy storage solutions. By developing and installing battery parks, we contribute to a more stable and sustainable electricity system as society becomes electrified. Battery parks store energy from renewable sources and make it possible to use electricity when it is needed most. It reduces the load on the electricity grid, evens out electricity prices and increases the reliability of the energy supply.
One example is the collaboration with Hylte Paper, where the company has installed one of Sweden’s largest battery parks of 42 MWh – complete with smart control, high-voltage equipment and operational solutions.
Charging solutions for the future
The electrification of the transport sector is moving fast – and the demands for smart charging infrastructure are increasing. New EU rules from 2025 and increased climate targets mean that both companies and society need to think in new ways.
The solar tech company E-Mobility, develops and installs large-scale charging solutions for electric cars, heavy vehicles and electric boats. One example is our mobile charging station for electric boats, developed for Candela’s electric hydrofoil ferry in Stockholm. It is the first of its kind in the county and shows how we combine technology, sustainability and innovation to create solutions that make a difference.
From roof to solar energy - a complete offer
When the Soltech company, Takbyrån in Alingsås, was commissioned to help Börjessons Bil with an extensive roof reconstruction of 14,000 sqm, they laid the foundation for something bigger. With strong local roots and long experience in the roofing industry, a relationship was built on trust and quality.
In 2024, Börjessons Bil returned with a new need: a large-scale solar cell plant. Takbyråns solar energy department delivered a solution of 2,300 sqm – installed on the roof they previously laid.
This is a good example of how, by combining our core competence in roofs with the energy solutions, we help our customers take the next step in their energy transition. Result? A property that not only protects – but also produces.
Solar cell facades an aesthetic source of energy
Solar cell facades are a unique solution for solar energy and surface layers in the same product. A solar cell facade replaces and complements traditional building materials and creates new opportunities for renewable energy production.
Soltech’s facade companies has installed several solar cell facades, which show how architecture and sustainability can interact. With integrated solar cells in the facade, the property takes advantage of the sun’s rays, while at the same time getting an aesthetically exterior.
One example is the subsidiary Fasadsystems installed solar cell facade on Campus Borlänge for NCC. The building-integrated solar panels produce solar electricity for the properties and create an aesthetic impression. Solar cell facades will play an increasingly important role in line with future EU requirements for solar cells for buildings.
Green energy and biodiversity in interaction
The Soltechs company, Soltech Energy Solutions, has installed an 11 MW solar park just outside Falkenberg, which extends over about 14 hectares. The solar park produces green electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of several thousand houses – and at the same time contributes to increased biodiversity.
To promote a sustainable ecosystem, the area is grazed by a flock of sheep, who keep the grass short between the solar panels. The panels, in turn, provide shade for the sheep on warm days. This symbiosis creates favorable conditions for vegetation, insects and pollinators such as bees. The solar park is fenced with a fence covered with ivy.
Floating solar energy solutions for a sustainable future
The need for floating solar energy solutions is increasing in countries with suitable waterways, including large water treatment ponds and agricultural ponds.
The advantage include the fact that the water cools the panels, which increases the power output and reduces evaporation from the water reservoir.
The picture shows Soltechs Spanish subsidiary, Sud Renovables’ 1.5 MW floating solar energy plant in Mallorca.
Sweden's first crisis-ready mobile base station
During the year, solar energy company Provektor has been a significant installer working on the development of Gasum’s biogas plant outside Götene. The plant, which is expected to produce 120 GWh of liquid biogas (LBG) per year from 2025, primarily uses manure from the local agricultural sector as raw material. Provektor’s mission includes electrical installation, production of control cabinets, automation and safety installations. During the year, work on commissioning, including the installation of access control systems and burglar alarms, also continued.
For The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) and Telia, a pioneering network infrastructure project was completed, creating Sweden’s first mobile base station and facility designed for crises and war preparedness. This was a group-wide project, led by Tlab, who installed solar panels and smart controls with support from sister company Provektor, who designed and installed automation cabinets.
The group-wide company, Soltech Business Support, also contributed with advisory services and quality assurance. By integrating hydrogen, fuel cells, solar energy, and batteries, Soltech’s expertise has extended the mobile base station’s reserve power capacity from 4 hours to 110 days.
