The purpose of the processing and the legal basis

The processing is based on the fact that it is necessary for us to enter into and fulfill our contract with you and for our legitimate interest in marketing. At the same time, the information helps us to analyze, tailor and improve our service offering and our communication with you. The information that is automatically recorded by our measuring instruments and technical logs when using, navigating, internet connection, technical equipment, etc. is used to manage the customer relationship and simultaneously helps us to ensure that the services always function as they should and maintain the quality. We can proactively solve technical problems, minimize the risk of errors and prevent anyone from misusing your services with us. The information gives us the opportunity to give you the best possible user experience on the technical devices you need to use in our systems. Soltech sends out newsletters via email to customers. To be able to send email you must register an email address. In some cases when you request this, newsletters can also be sent to you as a journalist or for other reasons have an interest in Soltech’s activities and services. Then you can choose to indicate whether you represent a company, are a private person, a journalist or other. This is done so that we can send as relevant information as possible to you. You can unsubscribe at any time and then your email is deleted from the mailing list. If you are applying for a job or internship at Soltech, we process your personal data in order to fulfill the recruitment process or appointment of an internship in an appropriate manner and in accordance with applicable legislation. When applying in the recruitment process, you must actively give your consent to the processing of your personal data. This is clearly specified in what way your personal data is processed, how you can change them, delete them and how you can withdraw your consent. Without the job seeker’s consent, the job/internship cannot be applied for.

Storage of personal data

We store your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing. We always process your personal data to the extent and for the time we are obliged to do so by law. To the extent that your personal data is no longer necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing, or the processing of personal data is otherwise prohibited by law, we will anonymize or delete the information. Should the customer relationship with us terminate, we will store your name, address, email address, and phone number for marketing purposes for a maximum of one (1) year after the customer relationship ended. Personal data in application and recruitment documents is stored for a maximum of two (2) years. Concerning press contacts, data will be deleted when you unsubscribe from press information. Regarding information about changes or at least once a year, Soltech will review the list and reassess whether the contact is still relevant or should be removed from the system. Our service provider for the switchboard registers information about you when you contact us through this function, to enable us to contact you. The messages generated usually contain name, company, contact information, case (things that make it clear what the contact is about). Information about contact details when you wish to be contacted is sent to the relevant party via email or SMS. As part of this registration, the telephone call is recorded and stored for a limited time. The reason the information is stored is so that, if necessary, we can review the message again. All data is automatically deleted after six (6) months and cannot be restored.

Links to other websites and services

Soltech’s ambition is not to link to other websites and third parties with whom we do not have cooperation agreements. Some exceptions may occur, regarding for example deductions and regulations.

Information about Children

You must be at least 18 years old to enter into an agreement as a Soltech reseller.

Recipients

We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. We may disclose your personal information to our data processors, such as companies that work with invoice administration or IT and cloud services. In such cases, data processing agreements are entered into that ensure that your personal information is only processed in accordance with this privacy policy. The IT systems used to store personally identifiable information are stored in a secure environment.

Upon your request or on its own initiative, Soltech will correct, de-identify, delete or complete information that is found to be incorrect, incomplete or misleading.
