Advanced Soltech's subsidiary in China, has signed an order with Deqing Ruiming Small and Micro Enterprise Park Management Co Ltd. The company has the same owner as an existing customer. The order concerns the installation of a solar energy facility of 1 megawatt (MW) and is estimated to generate annual revenues of approx. SEK 0.68 million, or approximately SEK 13.6 million during the agreement's 20-year term. The investment in the facility, which will be owned by Advanced Soltech's wholly owned subsidiary in China, amounts to approx. SEK 5.7 million and construction is planned to start in the fourth quarter of 2021. The project achieves good profitability completely without subsidies and is in Anhui province.

Advanced Soltech's CEO Max Metelius comments:

– Our sales organization continues to reap success in Anhui Province. It is especially satisfying to be able to deliver several good projects that are located in the same area, which streamlines the maintenance of the facilities.

The interest for electrical charging posts for hotelchains, golf courses and paddle centers is growing. That’s what Soltech's subsidiary Swede Energy will take action on and deliver after signing an agreement with the parking operator Pair. The collaboration is already underway and will in the coming six-months period involve installation of hundreds of charging posts all over Sweden. The agreement between the two companies runs over a five-year period.

– It is with great pleasure that we can now announce that we have signed a framework agreement with Pair for hundreds of charging posts. Pair is an exciting operator that fills a growing need for charging infrastructure, not least when the majority of the country's municipalities have a shortage of charging posts, which causes unnecessary emissions. We are very much looking forward to helping to create a more holistic charging infrastructure across the country, says Christoffer Caesar, CEO of Swede Energy.

Charging points – increasingly important service
Sustainability investments, such as charging posts, have emerged as a much wanted service to guests as well as an alternative source of income during the pandemic when the number of guests has decreased. Pair has installed charging posts for the well-known hotel chain Best Western and has extensive experience of working with both the hotel industry and golf courses. Per Gerleman, founder of Pair, knows the importance for hotels of being able to offer charging points at its facilities.

– We are pleased that we have now landed this agreement with Swede Energy. They offered an overall responsibility with nationwide ambitions, and it feels great that we can now move forward together. Charging poles are becoming an increasingly important service for creating an attractive hospitality industry and the hotel industry is breathing future optimism again, and therefore it feels extra good that we will now enabling charging points at more hotel facilities, says Per Gerleman, founder of Pair.

– Green energy solutions play a key role in our ambition to develop smart and attractive hotel facilities that are appreciated by both our guests and the environment. Offering charging points at our hotels creates even better conditions for us to be competitive in a future where electrification spots places new demands on the whole of society and also on us in the service industry, says Agneta Jaktland Director of Quality Assurance at Best Western.

The assignment is carried out for the real estate company Willhem and the whole reconstruction of the facility and installations are expected to be completed by the end of the year. The solar energy facility is expected to produce approximately 130,000 kWh annually, which corresponds to approximately 30 percent of the property’s total electricity consumption.

– Thousands of square meters of solar energy-and remodeled roofs. This project shows the strength of the Soltech Group when we combine several different companies' competencies in one assignment. Willhem is demonstrably investing in sustainability, and it is very positive for us to let the sun shine even more over Gråbo, says Stefan Jennefalk, Sales manager at Merasol.

New waterproofing layers on the roof and solar panels
The four residential buildings will not only have solar cells, but also new roofs and waterproofing layers. Soltech's subsidiary Takorama is responsible for the roof reconstruction.

– It is very with great proudness Takorama is part of this project. We specialize in products on flat, low-sloping roofs with a long durability and high service standard and roofs that then get solar cells on top of them are of course extra fun. Doing this together with our sister company also feels great, says Micke Norrby, CEO of Takorama.

– Willhem as a real estate company has a large responsibility in managing our resources in the best possible way, and green renewable energy solutions that minimize our environmental impact is a hygiene factor. The roof contract at Spårvagnsdepån will measure 27,000 sq.m., and Takbyrån is also preparing the roof for a possible solar energy solution in the future

– This project is a” feather in the cap” for Takbyrån. A large roofing contract for an established real estate company such as Skanska is something that of course means a lot. Since we are a part of Soltech, a few months back, we have had a dialogue with Skanska about which type of waterproofing layer is best suited for roofs with solar energy panels and we will build a sustainable solution so that solar power can be added later. If the client later wants to install solar energy on the roof, ware now more than ready to assist with that job as well, says Tobias Udén, CEO of Takbyrån in Alingsås.

Soltech Energy's subsidiary, Fasadsystem, has a new agreement to install a large facade project for the construction company Peab. Lundbyskolan at Hisingen in Gothenburg will get a a new facade with an order value of just over SEK 8 million. Soltech Energy Sweden AB (publ) has decided to merge the operations of three fully owned subsidiaries, to create a larger and stronger Group-wide core of expertise and resources in solar energy. The merger consists of MeraSol AB being merged into Swede Energy Power Solutions AB, and most of the operations in Soltech Sales & Support AB being merged into Swede Energy. The company Swede Energy will be provisionally given the new name Soltech Energy Solutions AB.

In addition to Soltech Energy Solutions becoming one of Sweden's leading suppliers of solar energy to the corporate market, the new merged company will significantly strengthen the Group-wide support function offered to all subsidiaries. Prior to the merger, other companies in the Soltech Group will be able to receive even better support in solar energy. This greatly increases the Group's opportunities to meet the rapidly growing demand for solar energy installations that are noticeable in all parts of the country where the Soltech Group is established.

The decision to merge was made at the beginning of July, and the merger and business transfers is in full swing. An application for a name change is being processed by the Swedish Companies Registration Office. The preliminary date for the merger's execution is October 1, 2021, and Swede Energy's CEO Christoffer Caesar will continue as CEO.

– Merging the operations of three of our largest wholly owned solar companies is a decision that is based primarily on achieving synergy effects but also on the other group's rapidly growing need for industry-leading expertise and resources in solar energy. Our transformative acquisition strategy has turned out so well, which means that our roof, facade, and electricity companies now receive a lot of requests to supply solar energy throughout the country, and then it is important to have a strong national solar company in the group that can help with the transformation, says Stefan Ölander, CEO of Soltech Energy.

– By merging the operations of the Group's three largest pure solar companies, we are building a strong solar energy company. It gives us the strength to continue to take large and technically complex assignments across the country, and at the same time through our sister companies offer solar energy as a fully integrated part of the Group's roof, facade and electricity companies' offer to the market, says Christoffer Caesar, CEO of current Swede Energy Power Solutions AB.

– At Soltech, we have long had leading expertise in solar energy installations in many parts of the country. By now pooling much of this capacity in one and the same company, we can optimize both external and internal processes and systems, in a way that ensures that we can continue to be the driving innovative player in Swedish solar energy, says Johan Seeman, CEO of MeraSol AB.

– The group has quickly grown to about 400 employees, of which about 70 works in one of the three companies that now are merged. For my employees, this means even tighter collaboration, faster decision-making paths, and more efficient work processes daily. The merger feels like an exciting and at the same time completely natural consequence of us growing so fast, says Markus Svensson, CEO of Soltech Sales & Support AB.
