Two Soltech companies have now installed and commissioned a roof-mounted solar system and a shimmering golden solar façade at Fastpartner’s office property in Solna. Soltech Energy Solutions has constructed the roof panels and Fasadsystem is now commissioning the solar façade. Tommie Standerth, CEO of Fasadsystem, tells us more about the project and the benefits of solar facades.

The shell of a building no longer only has to have an insulating effect. With integrated solar cells in the façade, the property takes advantage of more of the sunrays, while at the same time being given an aesthetically pleasing exterior.

A photovoltaic façade is also a suitable complement to a rooftop photovoltaic system. An example of the combination of roof-mounted solar panels and architect-designed solar cell façade can now be found at Fastpartner’s office property in central Frösunda in Solna.

– We are proud to have designed and installed this beautiful solar façade for Fastpartner. The façade gives the property a building envelope that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also generates renewable solar electricity. It also feels great that several Soltech companies have helped to create an energy-producing property, says Tommie Standerth, CEO of Fasadsystem.

The design of the solar façade is specially adapted to turn the solar panels into the best possible position, but also to ensure that the solar panels are adapted to the rest of the building in terms of design. In the future, the property’s operations will receive solar electricity from both the solar façade and the roof-mounted solar system that Soltech Energy Solutions previously installed.

–This property has now become a forerunner that other property owners and community developers should take a look at. If the aim is to create a cityscape at the intersection of design, sustainability and functionality, solar facades should be a matter of course for every major building project in the future, concludes Tommie Standerth.

In an analysis carried out by Analysguiden, they write that Soltech's strong growth is largely a result of establishing a unified group of solar, electric, facade and roof companies that together can offer a complete solar energy offer. To support the explosive growth, Analysguiden believes that the rights issue that is currently being carried out is necessary for the Group to reach its goals for 2024, which is 4.7 billion in turnover with an operating margin of 8–10 percent.

Furthermore, both the financial and strategic importance of Soltech's international acquisitions of 365zon and Sud Renovables are underlined. Acquisitions that are expected to contribute roughly 2 billion in turnover until 2024 with good profitability, as well as establish Soltech in an international environment.

Soltech CEO Stefan Ölander comments on Analysguiden's conclusions.

– The solar energy industry is brighter than ever, and it feels great that Aktiespararna sees our aggressive acquisition strategy and the ongoing rights issue as the keys to coming out as winners in a market that is both growing and consolidating at a high rate. The fact that our acquisition journey is also described as incomparable strengthens us even more in our belief that we are well on our way to building a very strong Group. Now our work continues to capture even bigger market shares to contribute so that more private individuals and companies are being able to produce their own solar electricity, says Stefan Ölander.

In an analysis from Aktiespararna's analysis service Analysguiden, the analysts highlight a clear upside in the Soltech share and believe that the rights issue announced yesterday is an important step to make Soltech's aim to take an even bigger share of the market possible.

Analysguiden also points out that Soltech's objectives are aggressive but entirely possible and that the group is on an incomparable acquisition journey.

Furthermore, they believe that even though the dilution is not insignificant, the rights issue significantly lowers the risk in the share and the issue guarantee is a sign of strength in an otherwise weak market.

In an analysis from Aktiespararna, they comment on the value of Soltech's international acquisitions during the year, Spanish SUD Renovables and Dutch 365zon.

Aktiespararna further highlights that both solar energy companies are profitable and will contribute to the group's margin from day one, but also that they operate in solar energy markets that is bigger than the Swedish one. Something that both creates a much greater growth potential and strengthens the group's overall strength and strategic endurance.

Read Aktiespararna's Q1 analysis of Soltech, which justifies a value of SEK 35–41 for the Soltech share.

Aktiespararna also believes that Soltech has started the year strongly despite a quarter which was characterized by tough external conditions and, above all, Aktiespararna view the sharply increasing organic growth positively.

They also mention the European Commission's recently presented solar energy strategy, which among other things means a doubling of the establishment rate of solar energy solutions. This suggests that Soltech, and the solar industry in general, is facing strong growth in the coming years.

Nyhetsbyrån Direkt interviews Stefan Ölander, CEO of Soltech Energy, in connection with the quarterly report.

One of Soltech's subsidiaries in the electrical engineering industry, Neabgruppen, won a new project for electrical installations in what will be a new Clarion hotel in Södertälje. The assignment will be carried out for the construction company ED Bygg i Sverige AB. Construction will start in 2022 and solar cells are available as an option in the assignment.

Following a qualitative procedure, Neabgruppen with operations in southern Sweden, Stockholm, Linköping and Norrköping, has entered into an agreement with one of the leading construction companies, ED Bygg. The assignment applies to electrical installations in what will be Clarion Hotel's new hotel in Södertälje, with a possible solar energy solution as an option to further contribute to the green transition. The hotel will consist of 200 rooms and will also have a gym and sky bar.

Electrical installations will start in 2022 and the project is expected to be completed in 2024 by Neabgruppen, which is a total subcontractor for the electrical installation and future solar cells. Pelle Norberg, CEO of Neabgruppen, comments on the assignment and the even closer collaboration with ED Bygg.

– It feels great that we get the confidence to carry out this assignment. We already have a very good collaboration with ED Bygg, which is now further deepened and the discussion about solar energy also aligns with both companies' focus on sustainability. Neabgruppen is ready to start up the work and this really strengthens our presence in Mälardalen, says Pelle Norberg, CEO of Neabgruppen.
