Soltech acquires Annelunds Tak AB and Ljungs Sedum Entreprenad AB
On January 4, Soltech Energy Sweden AB (publ) acquired 76 percent of the shares in Annelunds Tak AB and 52 percent of the shares in Ljungs Sedum Entreprenad AB. The companies have a total of 18 employees and are expected to contribute SEK 60 million in sales and SEK 6 million in operating profit in 2021. Together with Soltech, the plan is to integrate solar energy into the product range and increase both sales and earnings. The acquisitions broadens the Soltech Group’s offering to customers who want to combine solar cells and sedum roofs.
Soltech continues to acquire companies, and during the fourth quarter negotiations have been held with the twelfth and thirteenth companies since the acquisition strategy began two years ago. An agreement was signed on January 4 with access on the same day. The acquisitions are financed entirely from own cash and with newly issued shares in Soltech. Soltech has an option to acquire the remaining shares in both companies in the spring of 2024. CEO
Stefan Ölander comments:
– We are proud to now welcome Annelunds Tak as our sixth roofing company with the logic that these companies have a great demand to also supply solar energy.
At the same time, sedum roofs are increasingly in demand in combination with solar energy for roof changes, and now having your own sedum company in the Group feels very good.
We see great business opportunities when companies now add solar energy to their product offerings. Transforming traditional companies into solar companies is a socially beneficial and good deal.
Both Annelunds Tak and Ljungs Sedum are located in Ljung, Herrljunga municipality, about 90 km from Gothenburg and 3.5 km from Borås. The companies are run by long-term and experienced entrepreneurs and have strong brands, stable business platforms, good customer relations and not least a continued good development potential and a competent and loyal workforce.
Principal owner Jonny Flodin in Annelunds Tak and Ljungs Sedum comments:
– We are really looking forward to developing together with such a strong and innovative owner as Soltech. In recent years, we have experienced a marked increase in inquiries in solar energy, and this step feels natural. It feels like we are taking a big step into the future as we become part of a solar energy group.
